Overview

Take the first step towards a career in diving with our one-month PADI Divemaster Internship in Nusa Penida. This intensive programme combines professional training with real experience inside a working PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, helping you develop the knowledge, confidence and leadership skills needed to become a PADI professional.

During the month, you’ll work closely with our experienced PADI instructors and dive team. Your training will include dive theory, water-skills development, rescue assessments, dive-site mapping, search and recovery, deep-diving exercises, equipment knowledge and practical workshops. You’ll also gain hands-on experience assisting with PADI courses, preparing equipment, supporting daily dive operations and learning how to guide certified divers safely.

Training around Nusa Penida gives you experience in varied and sometimes challenging conditions, including drift diving, changing currents and busy boat operations. You may explore colourful reefs and encounter marine life such as manta rays, turtles and, during the season, mola mola. Dive sites are always selected according to training requirements, diver experience and the conditions on the day.

To begin the programme, you must be at least 18 years old, hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification or equivalent, have completed recognised CPR and First Aid training within the past 24 months and have at least 40 logged dives. You will need at least 60 logged dives to qualify as a PADI Divemaster. A medical statement signed by a physician within the previous 12 months is also required.

Successful certification within one month depends on arriving with the required experience, completing the PADI Divemaster eLearning and meeting all performance requirements during the internship.
