No previous night-diving experience is required. You must be a certified PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent and be at least 12 years old.
The course includes PADI learning materials, three night-training dives, instruction from a professional PADI instructor, full scuba equipment, dive lights, DAN insurance and PADI certification.
Complete the PADI knowledge development at your own pace before the practical training. Your instructor will review night-dive planning, equipment, communication, navigation and safety procedures with you.
You will learn to use a dive light, communicate after dark, navigate underwater, maintain buddy contact, control your buoyancy and safely enter and exit the water at night.
The USAT Liberty Wreck may be included when conditions and the instructor’s assessment allow. Final dive sites are always selected with safety as the priority.
Night diving offers the chance to see nocturnal marine life such as hunting octopuses, crustaceans, moray eels, sleeping turtles and reef creatures that are rarely active during the day. Sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Training may be available in English, Chinese, French, Spanish and Indonesian. Please request your preferred language when booking so we can confirm instructor availability.
The course takes two evenings and includes three night-training dives: one dive on the first evening and two dives on the second.
