Yes. You must be at least 15 years old and hold a PADI Adventure Diver certification, or an equivalent qualifying certification. You should also be medically fit to dive and comfortable in open-water conditions.
The course includes PADI eLearning, four deep training dives, professional PADI instruction, full diving equipment, DAN dive insurance, certification fees and lunch on diving days.
After booking, you will receive access to the PADI Deep Diver eLearning. You can complete the theory online at your own pace before arriving. It covers deep-dive planning, gas management, nitrogen narcosis, safety procedures and managing potential problems at depth.
In Amed and Tulamben, the dives may include deep walls, coral reefs and deeper areas around local wreck sites. In Nusa Penida, the deeper reefs and channels offer opportunities to encounter mola during the season and other large pelagic species. Dive sites depend on conditions, diver experience and safety, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
The practical course usually takes two days and includes four deep training dives. Your PADI eLearning should be completed before the diving begins.
After certification, you will be trained to plan and complete recreational dives to a maximum depth of 40 metres, within the limits of your experience and local diving conditions.
Training may be available in English, Chinese, French, Spanish and Indonesian. Please request your preferred language when booking so we can confirm instructor availability.
