WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY
Real stories from guests who stayed, dived, and explored Amed and Nusa Penida with Jukung Family
At Jukung Dive, guests rarely stay strangers for long. From first breaths underwater and unforgettable manta encounters to shared lunches, laughter and stories between dives, every person becomes part of our growing Jukung family. These are their experiences, told in their own words, and the reason we continue to love what we do.
DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT...
The kindest and most accommodating people I’ve ever met. I’ve been solo traveling SE Asia for the past month and this is by far the best experience I’ve had.
Went with Arma, the dive master guide, who guided me to see Manta Rays, Mola Mola, Turtles, and reefs. He showed me around Pineda afterwards and was super welcoming.
If you’re wondering which dive center is worth your money, this is it. They all speak English and are very funny and kind. If you need to get a certificate, come here. If you have yours and just want to dive, come here. You won’t regret your stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Jukung Dive Resort, where Gerald guided us through our diving course. He was patient, reassuring and attentive, and we were able to ask him plenty of questions. The dive itself felt like a truly unforgettable escape.
The hotel is luxurious, set on a hillside with beautiful views of the sea and Bali’s mountains, and the staff took excellent care of us throughout our stay.

Great couple of days at Jukung with kids (14 and 16). We stayed just before start of peak season which suited us nicely. Kids did drift certification and fun dives, instructors very good. Boats and equipment well maintained. Mantas, stingrays, turtles, frog fish, etc. Not lucky enough to see mola mola.
Left by 7am to get 3 dives in before low tide, they catered early breakfast for us with preorder the evening before. Lunch was back at hotel, which we looked forward to everyday - chef makes a home cooked style, filling meal. Sums up the hotel, it has a very homely feel. It sits on cliff, beautiful view and air, away from the smoke and dust. Hotel provides complementary car at request to drive down hill to shops, laundry and restaurants.
The booking was zero fuss via WhatsApp, with various options to pay deposit.
In summary, quaint hotel, value for money, staff go out of way to make you feel at home.

We came here accidentally (original hotel cancelled our booking) but everything is above expectation.
If you’re concerning the location, no need to - because they offer free transportation within 2km from the hotel which is quite convenient; they even picked us up at 11pm from the restaurant (Plus we booked the manta tour with hotel and they handled all the pick up/drop off)
1. Staffs are very welcoming and caring, hotel’s WhatsApp chat is almost instant read and (amazing thank you Dhila!); Richard handled our transportation; Bintang is very sweet, helped us with luggage and breakfast everyday thank you all (slim breakfast is top notch!)
2. Room is clean and with sea view; infinity pool is breathtaking; service is also nice they could send the hairdryer and extra hangers to your room (again, amazing service)
3. They offered pool towels since we were going to snorkeling tour (and even let us shower in a clean room after we checked out!) that’s super helpful
Altogether, don’t miss this place at nusa penida guys!

I had an amazing stay at this resort in Nusa Penida! The staff were absolutely incredible whether at the bar, reception, or on the diving team, everyone was so friendly and always wore a smile. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and offered a breathtaking sunrise view right from the window.
The food was outstanding (honestly the best I’ve had on the island) and the sunset point was such a cool spot to relax in the evenings. Diving with the resort was unforgettable! I even had the chance to see a mola mola! I felt completely safe and comfortable with the dive master the whole time.
Overall, this place is a true gem. I would recommend it 10/10 and will definitely be coming back!

If you are new to diving, you can come to Nusa Penida here and complete your PADI open water course and obtain your PADI certificate here. Jukung Dive Resort Penida is offering affordable diving and accommodation packages. And with many diving sites around the island, you won’t have to make lengthy trips to diving sites either. Overall great visibility up to 40 meters, variety of sites, including arches, cracks, beautiful corals, tunnels and dramatic vertical drop-offs that may plunge over 50 meters beneath you.
Thank you Jukung Dive Resort Penida ,( lady owner & all the amazing friendly staffs) especially Instructor Mr. Ade! You are one of the most kind, helpful and yet very humble person with always thinking of safety first and tried your very best to bring us , dive and guide us to meet Mola Mola ! Crystal Bay, Manta Point & Blue Conner now is One of my favourite dive site spot!! As the Divemaster training is much longer than the instructor training, it usually gives more opportunity for me to meet new scuba diving friends who now become some of the best dive buddies in my life…
Thank u for ur best service to me n all my fellow buddies! We 100% will definitely be back again !!

My team and I came here for the DSD (Discovery Scuba Diving) program, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Their hospitality is top notch — everyone made me feel at home from the moment I arrived.
The only part that felt a bit serious was the paperwork/waiver, almost like taking an exam but I understand they do it because they take safety very seriously, which I really appreciate.
I had my swimming pool session with Gerald, and he was incredibly patient while teaching all the basics of diving. Truly top notch service.
On the second day, I went for my open water dive at Manta Point with Jessica, the divemaster. She was calm, patient, and very professional. I even saw manta rays up close — they were massive and absolutely breathtaking.
All the staff and crew were friendly, helpful, and super chill.
Overall, an amazing team and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Jukung Dive Resort for 4 days including 3 days of diving with them. The service at the hotel was amazing, as was the dive team.
Special thanks to Apli and Gerard, my dive instructors who were both absolutely great! It has a great tranquil location on a hill. Views from the restaurant and pool area are beautiful, especially sunsets. Sunrise was beautiful from my balcony.
The room was nice and clean. They arranged for transfers to and from the port, had a scooter rental for getting around the island and were super helpful for me as a solo traveller. Would highly recommend.

Unexpected! What a lovely surprise!
We worried a bit before arriving, since the road going up quite steep, but once there, it was just a WOW, amazing! It's worth the trip, you need to go up to get a such marvelous view: Mount Agung and Bali just oppsit site, sunrise at one side from the balcony of the room, and sunset on the otherside, by pool side or terrasse side, the ocean view more than 180 degree in this place!
Very nice staff too, some details of room have to say not perfect, but the kindness and the smile of staff just let you forget all. And who wants to stay in the room with a such nice view outside.
They also have a dive center, we went the MANTA TRIP with them, and cerise sur le gateau, even saw MOLA MOLA in this season!
What a wonderful trip, we'll definitely come back!

I had an extended stay at Jukung Dive Resort and it exceeded my expectations. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, good AC and wifi, strong hot shower and best of all were the staff.
Always smiling, helpful and friendly they made my stay as a solo traveller really special. Thank you everyone! I highly recommend staying here while you are in Amed and to go diving with them too.

My partner and I recently stayed at Jukung Dive Tesprt Amed. I did my open water dive course here. First was the e-learning which I did back at home, then time in the pool, and after 4 training dives. My girlfriend has her advanced certification so she only needed to do a refresher.
My instructor was Wayan, but we were also assisted by fellow Aussie Jack (dive master). We were essentially one on one whilst training which was great for me to build my skills. Everyone was extremely professional and fun to be around.
We would complete two dives a day with tea and lunch in between. Lunch was awesome.
My partner and I also stayed at the hotel on site which we thoroughly enjoyed. Air conditioning, swimming pool, nice bed, WIFI and good shower.
I felt completely safe the whole time throughout the course and was even more reassured by the PADI certification and the fact that Jukung owns all their own gear. This was not the case at other places.
Location wise, it was great as it was pretty much in the middle of Amed, a short scooter to either way.
We will definitely be coming back here! A big thanks to everyone at Jukung!

A pleasant 2 nights stay for a non-diver family. it is obviously best if you are also do the diving since the staffs and property is perfect for your diving experience.
however, we still can enjoy our stay there even though we were not diving (but will do next time!).
they have 2 swimming pools that are also for diving practice, so it is very deep you need to be extra careful when you have your kids with you. 1 swimming pool is an infinity pool facing the road with a beach view. lovely!
the staffs are very great, very accomodating and helpful. i have nothing to complain during my stay and would love to stay at the property again when i visited amed in the future.

Great location, just across the road from the beach. The snorkeling beach is a 10-minute walk away. There's a deep pool for diving preparation (learning the basics). Everyone is friendly and helpful, like a big diving family. There's plenty of parking. The sea views from the rooms are simply stunning. The hotel isn't new, so it's a bit worn, but nothing too serious. Breakfast is included, as usual: eggs, toast, and natural coffee. Pancakes with juice, etc., are available for 15,000 rubles extra. The rooms are quiet and peaceful. They offer diving lessons; a dive costs about $40, but I didn't dive myself.

I did not stay in this hotel but I did my PADI open water class there with an instructor called Wayan and I had an amazing experience.
The gear was great and the diving spots were very beautiful with nice corals, colorful fish, and we also did a dive on the liberty shipwreck! I highly recommend this dive center for its professionalism and friendliness.

Amed is one of our favorite places in Bali, especially thanks to Junkung Dive!
Laurent is an experienced, very welcoming, and accommodating host who gave us advice on everything we needed.
Sabine took us on our first scuba dive. She was very attentive, took her time, and taught us how to dive so we could explore the magnificent World War II USS Liberty wreck!
It was great to have French-speaking contacts who were also very competent!
The staff is lovely and takes great care of us (scooter rental, taxi booking, etc.).
The food is very good, and breakfast is included (try their homemade Nasi Groreng!).
The hotel is perfectly located: next to Amed town center, just steps from the beach... and well-equipped: two swimming pools, laundry facilities, etc.
In short: a great place to stay in Amed.
