Who is the PADI Refresher course suitable for?

The PADI Refresher course in Bali is designed for certified scuba divers who have not been diving for a while and want to regain confidence before returning to the ocean. It is ideal if you feel rusty, nervous, or simply want a professional skills review after time out of the water. Whether your last dive was six months ago or several years ago, the refresher can be adapted to your experience level and comfort.

What does the PADI Refresher course include?

The refresher course begins with a relaxed, instructor-led pool session where you review essential scuba skills such as buoyancy control, regulator recovery, mask clearing, and safety checks. Once you feel comfortable, the refresher can be followed by guided ocean dives at carefully selected sites in Amed or Nusa Penida, known for calm conditions and good visibility. All sessions are conducted in small groups to ensure close supervision and personalised guidance.

Do I need to redo theory or exams?

No, the PADI Refresher course does not require you to complete full classroom theory or written exams. Instead, your instructor will review key safety concepts and dive procedures during the session, focusing on practical knowledge and real-world application. The goal is to refresh your understanding and confidence, not to test you.

Is the refresher course safe if I feel nervous or out of practice?

Yes, safety is our top priority at Jukung Dive. The refresher is designed specifically for divers who may feel uncertain or out of practice. You will start in a controlled pool environment and progress at your own pace before entering the ocean. Our PADI instructors provide close supervision, clear briefings, and continuous support, ensuring you feel relaxed, safe, and confident throughout the experience.

What scuba equipment is included in the refresher course?

All scuba diving equipment is included in the PADI Refresher course, including mask, fins, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tanks, and weights. If you have your own equipment, you are welcome to bring it, and your instructor will help check the setup and ensure everything fits and functions correctly before you enter the water.

Can I combine the refresher course with fun dives or further training?

Yes. Many divers choose to continue directly into fun dives or advanced training after completing their refresher. Depending on your comfort level, you can join guided fun dives in Amed or Nusa Penida or progress into courses such as Advanced Open Water. We also offer personalised dive packages including accommodation and transport, which can be tailored to your schedule and diving goals.
